DAF museum,
Sandton Hotel Eindhoven City Centre
The DAF museum is a two minute drive from Sandton Hotel Eindhoven City Centre. The museum stands on the site where, in 1928, the Van Doorne brothers started their business which later became the present-day DAF group. The early workshop, with its forge, has been returned to the site in its original condition for the public to visit, and it's interesting to see the tools that were used back then. The many historical vehicles on display trace the history of DAF. As well as cars, racing cars and lorries, there are also prototypes on display that never went into production. Visitors can also see the Royal beach car, the “mobile raincoat” and many more amusing, beautiful and ingenious vehicles. For anyone interested in automotive technology, cut-away models of engines, gearboxes, drives and much more besides are on display at various locations.
