City Museum Brussels, Sandton Brussels Centre
The City Museum Brussels, also known as the “Broodhuis” (or “Maison du Roi” in French), is within walking distance of Sandton Brussels Centre. It is a magnificent historic building, which was restored to the 16th century original in the 19th century. On the first floor, you can follow the evolution and growth of the city. The second floor tells the history of the political, economic, cultural and social life of the capital, using paintings, art objects, engravings, scale models etc. The folklore section of the museum is home of the extravagant wardrobe of that most mischievous of Brussels residents: Manneken-Pis.
