Magritte Museum, Sandton Hotel Brussels Centre
Within walking distance of Sandton Brussels Centre is Brussels’ Magritte Museum. The museum opened its doors on 2 June 2009 and shares a building with the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. The museum exhibits work by the surrealist artist René Magritte. In fact, it boasts the world’s largest Magritte collection, comprising over 200 works. Oil paintings on canvas, gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects rub shoulders with advertising posters, musical scores, old photos and films made by the artist Magritte himself.
