Atomium, Sandton Brussels Centre
The Atomium is within driving distance of Sandton Brussels Centre. The Atomium was built in 1958 for the Brussels World Fair, and is a model of a molecule of an iron crystal, magnified 165 billion times. From the uppermost sphere, you can take in the best views of Brussels. Today, the Atomium is famous as the main tourist attraction and the symbol of Europe’s capital. 5 of the 9 spheres are open to the public. These spheres house a variety of permanent and temporary exhibitions, and one of the 5 spheres contains a restaurant. All in all, this is a unique and unmissable part of Brussels.
