The unforgettable panorama of the Hohe Tauern, all the way to the Leogangse Steinbergen, accompanies the hikers everywhere through the Glemmtal Valley mountain landscape. In the same area where the ski and snowboard fans are at home in the cold season, 400 marked hiking paths await hikers and alpine mountain freaks in summer.

Four cable lifts carry, whilst saving your strength, adults and children a little closer to heaven – directly to the starting point of many signposted hiking paths. Maps published under local management as well as twelve signposted hiking and Nordic Walking trails with a total length of 71.4 kilometres attract guests with sporty ambitions to the Glemmdal Valley.
Over 180 km mountain bike trails: Adventurous single trails and Adidas Freeride allow you to enjoy the best mountain biking pleasure in Europe. Whether it entails short trips or heavy marathons, difficult single trails or breath-taking downhill runs, this is where the beginner, the more advanced biker or even a sports professional can always find a suitable trail to ride.
Mountain bike transport is included in the purchase price of a single cable-lift ride.
Approximately 30 managed alm huts not only provide culinary delicacies in the course of a mountain tour. Local performers play folk music, while guest are sampling the regional foods as hut owners serve up their delicious Pinzgau specialities during alm summer in Saalbach Hinterglemm.
More than 100 events provide a perfect complement to the summer offerings in Saalbach Hinterglemm. In addition to major events–such as the Harley Davidson Biker Mania and the World Games of Mountain Biking–the events agenda lists a great number of festivities, concerts and markets, always with the purpose of allowing guests and local residents to mingle and celebrate together.

With over 400 (four hundred!) kilometres of unbelievable hiking trails, you can enjoy the authentic nature of the Glemmdal valley. Of course, these “dream paths” are perfectly signposted leading you through an alpine summer paradise to experience unforgettable moments. Whether you want to go for a walk all by yourself, or whether you prefer the guided tours of the local tourist information office, whether you are on the way with children, or whether you have scheduled some breath-taking panoramic walks - you will be excited!

This is unique: in Saalbach Hinterglemm four comfortable cable lifts take you without effort a little bit closer to hiker’s heaven. After an exciting walk, please come to one of our 30 huts to sample some culinary treats.

Montelino’s Adventure Path on the Kohlmais
Between the mountain and the Kohlmais cable lift transfer station there are many enjoyable play stations waiting for you. Do you like stories and fantastic adventures? Leap in the remarkable story of the small clown "Montelino" who could not laugh anymore ... How did this happen? We will give you a hint about the story: Montelino neglected his friends and toys... on a certain day all of his friends were gone and his toy chest was empty. This made the small clown Montelino terribly sad. He could not laugh anymore. So he urgently needed help! Grab an empty toy chest and follow the wise owl, climb in the gondola, make your way to the top of the Kohlmais, run through the forest and the meadows and find the friends and the toys. Experience an adventure with games and pleasure on the magic mountain. Will you be able to find Montelino’s friends and toys?
Kodok Mountain
Recognize the signs and find the clown’s magic hat. The gnome Kodok has stolen the hat! At 10 adventurous play stations you must prove your skill, knowledge and courage, since this is the only means of beating the mean gnome Kodok and returning the hat to the clown. The adventure pass for entering your code is included in the lift ticket.
Schnitza’s Wood Park
Schnitza’s wood park offers a clear exhibition of all things made of wood. Here you can play and build with wood. Here you can experience wood! In a playful manner children of the Xbox and PlayStation generation discover what the traditional material wood has to offer and how much fun it is to play with wood.

Pleasure for adults and children guaranteed! In Saalbach, in the new open air swimming pool "Käpt'n Hook" you will find giant slides and plenty of action.
Teufelswasser ('Devil's Water')
At the end of the valley you can enjoy a fun and exciting water adventure. At Teufelswasser (a kind of brook with obstacles, water wheel, locks and other toys) you can experience the liquid element and enjoy playing in the water with all of your senses.
Lake of Zell am See
Location: Zell am See (approx. 20 km - every hour there is a coach link)
The lake of Zell am See offers great views of nature and several beach pools. Moreover, the lake is home various tour boats and several boat rentals.
Hellbrunn Castle
Location: City of Salzburg (approx. 100 km)
Opening hours: opened from early April to the end of October. The opening hours vary, depending on the season.
Built in 1615, particularly beautiful and great fun: Hellbrunnse Wasserspiele (Hellbrunn water games: fountains and cascades).
